Snubbing technique is to trip pipe strings in oil/gas wells under pressure while ensuring safety of downhole services in oil/gas wells without using killing fluid. When tripping the strings under pressure at wellhead, the BOP stack, bridge plug or blanking plugs must be used at surface to control the pressure in oil/gas well. The safe BOP stack is a basic guarantee for oil/gas well control. The snubbing technique is mainly used in the oil/gas wells where under–balanced pressure should be maintained all the time.
